One of the many books I had to let go of with my recent move, was Ainslie Roberts' "The Dreamtime". It was one of my favourite books. In it Roberts interprets the richness of Aboriginal culture and illustrates their myths and legends in an attempt to communicate the sacredness of the Aboriginal people to the white people of Australia.

Tuomas Korpi is a production designer, matte painter and illustrator from Helsinki, Finland.
http://tuomaskorpi.com/wp/showcase/ Edmund Blair Leighton (1852-1922) is, along with John William Waterhouse, one of my favourite Victorian painters. His romantic medieval scenes are amongst the most widely recognised paintings of that period. The detail, even in the background, is fantastic. Just look at the stone-work in his paintings, the costumes, the chain-mail and armour. And just like with Waterhouse, his women are very beautiful.
On of my all time favourite artists is Zdzisław Beksiński. He was a Polish painter, photographer and sculptor who was sadly ripped from this world by a cowardly murder in 2005.
