Dave Sandford is a Canadian photographer based in London, Ontario. Primarily covering professional sports in the past he's now moved into wildlife and landscape photography. The pictures here are from his series "The Great Lakes" capturing the incredible beauty of waves crashing into each other in the November storms over Lake Erie. The short shutter speeds turn these masses of water into abstractions I just love. And the light in them is magical. There are more of these fantastic images on his website plus much more.
https://www.davesandfordphotos.com/ There is a salt lake in Tanzania, Africa, that is so alkaline, it turns animals that perish in it to stone.
Visit Nick's website to see stunning animal portraits and his amazing work about the disappearing wildlife in East Africa. Absolutely stunning. http://www.nickbrandt.com/ Noell is a visual artist from Budapest, Hungary. Her self-portraits are photo composites in black and white. I absolutely love the aesthetic of her compositions, the lines and shapes and value changes. While the camera is her tool and photography her medium she makes a point in not wanting to be called a photographer. It is the creative process of compositing a number of her pictures in post-production into a work of art that she loves most. She's an image maker of rare talent and I can't wait to see more of her work.
http://cargocollective.com/noelloszvald Back in the day when one still went down to the local record store to buy a whole album of the band you liked, I picked up a couple of records because the cover artwork looked fantastic. I didn't know the band but I knew I had to have those records not even caring what the music was like. The artwork was done by Simon Larbalestier and The Pixies remain one of my favourite bands to this day.

More than any other artist, his paintings make me go: "Damn, I wish I'd done that!" Not limited to digital painting he is also a photographer. Check out his work on his website.
