I want to start this blog with one of my absolute favourite artists, Alan Lee. Now he is of course famous the world over for his involvement in Peter Jakcson's "The Lord of the Rings" and "The Hobbit" movies. But long before that he's been illustrating stories from mythology and folklore which is where I get inspiration for my own art. I love everything about Alan Lee's work. No one does watercolour like him and his pencil drawings are superb. His rendering of landscapes, architecture, characters and beasts are simply fantastic.
